The World Cup has never attracted so many NBA players!

There may be many notable absentees (Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jamal Murray…), but this World Cup will not lack representatives of the Great League. No less than 55 NBA players will take part, which is a new record in this area.

Also taking into account drafted players whose rights are held by franchises, as well as those who have had NBA experience in the past, this total rises to 106 players, another record (they were 103 in 2019).

We also note that 27 of the 32 teams entered in the competition have at least one of these players.

The Magic, Thunder and Wolves are the best represented

Among them, all the same 10 All-Stars: Anthony Edwards, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, Rudy Gobert, Tyrese Haliburton, Brandon Ingram, Jaren Jackson Jr, Lauri Markkanen, Karl-Anthony Towns and Nikola Vucevic.

Apart from the American selection, Australia has the largest contingent of current NBA players (9), ahead of Canada (7) and Germany (3).

Twenty-four NBA franchises are also represented, including the Magic, Thunder and Wolves with five players each, while the Knicks and Mavs have four representatives respectively.
