The Wolves send a message against the Clippers

Clash in the heights of the West between two of the best teams in the league: the Wolvesco-leaders of this conference, and the Clippersholders of the best record in the NBA for two months.

This poster at the top, these are the teammates ofAnthony Edwards (33 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists) who offered it, submitting Kawhi Leonard (26 points, 9 rebounds), Norman Powell (24 points) and others without trembling too much (109-105). In the lead almost the entire match, Minnesota stepped on the accelerator at the start of the second half to never let go of its lead until the end (and the gap is flattering, as it rose to +17).

Besides Anthony Edwards, author of 20 points in the third quarter alone (!), Karl-Anthony Towns (17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) and Rudy Gobert (15 points, 18 rebounds, 4 blocks) did what was necessary in the paint to stop the series of victories of Los Angeles.

TO REMEMBER

Anthony Edwards and Minnesota impose. Yes, the Wolves are definitely to be taken seriously this season because, a few days after almost offering themselves – in back-to-back– the scalp of the Celtics, the best team in the NBA, now they have brought down the Clippers, the team in good shape of the moment. In the wake of a gala Anthony Edwards, undoubtedly motivated by the presence of the Leonard/George pair in the opposing camp, Chris Finch's men made good use of their advantage in the paint without Ivica Zubac, in addition to smother Paul George and James Harden (9/33 combined). Not the best defense in the league by chance…

A decisive second period. Apart from this run 20-6 at the end, initiated by Norman Powell and which somewhat pushed the Wolves to come back to win, the latter generally took advantage of the second half to establish their domination over the Clippers. Despite the ball losses or missed throws from Rudy Gobert, the West bosses relied on an untenable Anthony Edwards to break away. Logical and deserved success for this Minnesota team which is decidedly imperial at home, but which remains under threat from the Thunder, a match behind in the standings.
