The Wolves recover by devouring the Magic

Show of force. This is how to summarize the performance of Wolves facing Magic, and therefore this match, although expected but ultimately one-sided (113-92). Western leaders can thank Karl-Anthony Towns (28 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) and Rudy Gobert (21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks), which made their task much easier last night.

Enough to boost morale Minnesotawho remained on three defeats in four games and who is especially preparing to challenge Boston in “back-to-back”, while Orlando sees its two-game winning streak come to an end. Without this being questionable, however, as there were several classes of difference between the two teams in Florida…

TO REMEMBER

Minnesota directly killed all suspense. 11-0 after three minutes, 33-16 after one quarter and 67-37 at halftime. Nothing better to illustrate the demonstration of the Wolves in this meeting than the scathing evolution of the score in their favor. Imperial from start to finish, the leaders of the West did not do the Magic any favors, relying mainly on Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert to fly away. Dominant in all aspects of the game, except for offensive rebounding or lost balls, Chris Finch's men were even able to settle for an Anthony Edwards with 6 small points to win…

Hard return to earth for Paolo Banchero. He was the man in (very great) form for the Magic since the start of 2024, but the reigning Rookie of the Year could not do anything against the Karl-Anthony Towns/Rudy Gobert duo. Like his entire team, still deprived of Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter Jr, Jonathan Isaac or Joe Ingles, the power forward sank in the first quarter and then tried, in vain, to reduce the gap with the help of Jalen Suggs or Moritz Wagner. The obstacle was significant for him, but that should not make us forget his great start to the year.
