Complicated start of career for young Isaiah Todd. Selected in 31st place in the last Draft, the rookie is suspended for one match, without pay, for ” conduct detrimental to the team“, announced the Wizards.
He will serve this suspension, the exact reason for which is not known, with the G-League Capital City Go-Go team, with whom he has spent most of his time this season. The strong winger has indeed made only nine short appearances with the Wizards so far, for a total of 35 minutes played. More used on the lower floor, he averages 14 points and 5 rebounds in 30 minutes of playing time.
First drafted by the Bucks, he had been transferred several times during the summer of 2021 before landing in the capital. He had landed a four-year, $7 million contract, with the fourth optional.
We recall that last season, he played alongside Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga in the Ignite, the G-League team responsible for developing high school students who did not want to go through the NCAA box before joining the NBA. He was then turning to more than 12 points and 5 rebounds on average.
