The Warriors will test six players, including Dion Waiters

The Warriors still have room in their workforce, and they have decided to multiply the tests to find the rare pearl. The Athletic reveals that the next two weeks will be devoted to “workout”, and six players will be tested in the facilities of the room.

It is Dion Waiters, Tony Snell, Kent Bazemore, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Harry Giles And Trey Burke. The first came out of his silence a month ago to explain that he had changed, and that he was ready to relaunch his career, three years after his last stint in the NBA.

“I am healthy and I want to have an opportunity to show that I am no longer the same”, had he launched. “For me it’s all about showing that I’ve changed and that’s why I’m here. I still have the same love for basketball, this sport still irritates me. I know that I can still help a team win on the pitch or even in the locker room, with my experience. So why not give it a try and see what happens? You never know what can happen… “

Two Golden State alumni in contention

Aged 31, like Waiters, Snell was in the G-League this season, and the former Bucks shooter discovered he had autism spectrum disorder (ASD). He explained that he felt liberated to have discovered his disease.

Kent Bazemore and Juan Toscano-Anderson know the Warriors well, and that’s an asset over the others. For Giles, this “workout” with the Warriors was planned, and it will be his 4th of the summer. Unlike the others, Giles is looking for a simple “two-way contract” to relaunch his career. The other, older players are not eligible for this type of contract.

Finally, Trey Burke has not been seen in the NBA since the 2022 playoffs with the Mavericks. Then traded to the Rockets for Christian Wood, then to the Thunder, he played for the Stockton Kings last season.
