The Warriors reportedly offer Klay Thompson a two-year contract

Since the Celtics' victory in the NBA final, the first phase of “free agency” has been launched and the 30 teams can already negotiate and reach an agreement with their players at the end of their contract. This is what the Pacers did with Pascal Siakam, then the Kings with Malik Monk. On the other hand, still nothing on the side of Klay Thompson

We know, the “Splash Brother” wants one last big contract, to continue playing with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. But the new GM, Mike Dunleavy Jr, would be cautious, especially considering his last season. According to ESPNit is not so much the salary that would block discussions, but rather the duration.

A mutual interest with the Magic?

For now, the Warriors would offer a two-year contract, but the All-Star shooter would like to commit for at least three years. At 34, he will try free agency for the first time in his career, and it is not certain that he will find a huge contract over three seasons elsewhere. Only the Magic, looking for an experienced shooter and player, would be on their trail, and The Athletic reports that the interest is mutual.

On the side of the Warriors, players, coaches and managers wish to keep it, and they have made numerous declarations to this effect. But for how long?
