Steve Kerr doesn't really seem to know where to stand with its current squad. At the start of the season, the Warriors coach announced that he wanted to rely on a broad rotation, with 11 or 12 players.
With 12 victories in the first 15 matches, the strategy seemed to be paying off. Except that since then, the team has plunged and now only finds itself in balance (16 wins – 16 losses), in 10th place in the Western Conference.
Stephen Curry had also called for a reduction in the rotation, to bring certainty back to the Bay.
And the “Splash Brother” was heard since Steve Kerr announced, ahead of the match against the Cavaliers, that he was going to rotate less, fixing the roles more.
“Given the times we're in… We need to fix some things over the next couple of weeks. We must keep the same starting five. The same rotation on the bench, if possible, and see if we can find some rhythm”, explained the Golden State coach.
However, he assures that he still trusts his young players. More than ever, in any case…
“It’s a youth sport, that’s obvious. It's a sport that requires endurance, fitness and the ability to recover from injuries, and it becomes increasingly difficult for older people. »
