The Warriors in crisis

THE Warriors were doubly awaited. Already to react after the slap (30 points difference) against the Kings on Sunday. Then because the opponent of the evening, the Heat, in back-to-back, came out of a match in Sacramento in double overtime. The legs were undoubtedly heavy, making Miami easier prey a priori.

However, Golden State showed a very sad face, failing to support Stephen Curry, and logically losing by scoring only 98 points…

“I expected more energy. To tell the truth, we are in a crisis of confidence: it can be seen, it can be felt”notes Steve Kerr after this second defeat in a row. “I don't mind missing shots, unless it affects our defense, our attitude. We are flat at the moment. There is no room for pity in the NBA, or in life in general. We cannot let disappointment influence our approach to matches. We must do the opposite: have even more fire in us. I'm disappointed in that: no one was in it. We didn't want to fight and without that, we have nothing. We need to bring this back. »

Stephen Curry “finds it difficult to accept” the situation

The playmaker scored 31 points and seemed very affected and frustrated by this setback and by the disappointing performance of the Warriors, who had started the season well. But since the 12-3 start, in mid-November, the Californians have posted a record of 6-15…

“He continues to be brilliant night after night but deep down, he is a champion, a winner, who wants to play at the highest level, we saw that in Paris last summer. He's having a hard time accepting the fact that the team isn't competitive at the moment.”admits the Golden State coach.

Currently in tenth place in the Western Conference with a balanced record (18-18), the Warriors are slipping. So much so that, even if the coach asks for time, things could change within a month to breathe new life into a group which has as many qualities as limitations.

“This team has the potential to win the title, but we’re not there yet”Judge Steve Kerr in a long article from ESPN. “We are competitive every night and we have confidence in our ability to fight night after night. Now, can we do it for four rounds of the playoffs? That remains to be seen. »
