It’s a franchise record, but also and above all an NBA record!!! Never had a team scored so many points in a first quarter, and the old record belonged… to the Warriors. In 2019, they had scored 51 points in a first quarter against the Nuggets.
The absolute record belongs to the Buffalo Braves, who scored 58 points in the 4th quarter of a game against the Celtics. A record that has stood since October 1972.
