The Warriors come back up

There is better in Golden State. By beating the Jazz, the Warriors chained a fourth victory in five matches. The only defeat in this sequence is almost to be given an asterisk since, against the Pelicans, Steve Kerr had spared almost all of his holders (Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins).

This success against Utah is even symbolic: the defending champions now have a positive record with 10 wins for 10 losses. This was never the case, before this day, during the whole month of November!

” It feels good “confirms the coach of the Warriors for the Mercury News. “We went from 3-7 to 7-3 in our last ten meetings. It’s a good sign. We are on an upward slope. Everything falls into place, the guys find their role, do their job. Now we have to confirm outside. »

It is indeed the black point of the Californians season. Their home record is remarkable, with nine wins in ten matches, just as their away record is catastrophic with nine defeats in ten matches…

“We are starting to find solutions”

In the meantime, this victory against the Jazz does not suffer from any challenge offensively. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson register 53 points (33 for the first, 20 for the second), Andrew Wiggins adds 20 units and Jordan Poole narrowly fails to join him, with 19 points. This quartet therefore compiles 92 points and the troops of Steve Kerr delivered 33 assists in this beautiful score of attack.

“The opposing defenses must choose between plague and cholera”, explains Draymond Green. “We have four players who can score, it’s incredible. There are times when they are involved thanks to the passes, then others when they do things themselves. They are terrific players. »

In attack, the machine is running very well. On the other hand, there is still room in defense, where the Warriors are very far from their level of last season. The recent calendar has been affordable but the franchise is recording victories, recovering and gaining confidence. After a failed start, that’s already it.

“We still have work to do, but we are finding the balance”, continues inside. “We are starting to practice our style of play, on both sides of the pitch. The guys are starting to get into the rhythm, the one you need to win at a high level. We are starting to find solutions. »
