The verdict is in for Brandon Ingram

The Pelicans didn’t need that. As they continued their “recovery” with four straight wins in order to preserve their chances of participating in the play-ins, Willie Green’s troops lost their leader Brandon Ingram following the defeat conceded in overtime in Denver (138 -130). A meeting in which the former Laker had planted 38 points, his second best mark of the season.

After undergoing an MRI on Wednesday, the player was declared unfit for a period of 7 to 10 days, suffering from a “slight elongation” of the hamstring of the right thigh. His case will then be re-examined but his return is therefore not expected immediately.

If he returned to the courts within ten days, in the best case scenario, New Orleans would still have eleven games to play by the end of the regular season.
