The ugly and disappointing Suns

If there were many important absentees (Tyus Jones, Royce O'Neale and Jusuf Nurkic), the Suns could nevertheless count on their “Big Three” against the Pacers in Indiana. But Bradley Beal missed his match (8 points to 3/12) and only Kevin Durant (25) and Devin Booker (20 points) held their place, without shining either.

Result: a defeat, the fourth in a row and the seventh in eight matches. Nothing has changed in recent days, while the pressure was already mounting, and the franchise still cannot turn things around.

“We are not at our best. We must continue to fight”, explains a Devin Booker who does not hide his frustration with recent performances. “What we are producing at the moment is very ugly. I hope that later in the season, these moments will be behind us, will be in the past. For now, we're in the middle of it. »

A very sad 12th place in the Western Conference

Mike Budenholzer particularly focused on the third quarter, when his troops conceded 40 points. “We have to do better offensively, by playing faster. This is where we are at our best but, to do that, we have to make stops. We didn't do enough in this quarter.”regrets the coach.

This bad streak, coupled with that of the Kings, places the Suns in 12th place in the Western Conference! The difficulties are particularly visible outside since, for almost two months and in the last 13 matches played away from Phoenix, Kevin Durant and his teammates have only won twice: each time against the Jazz, one of the worst teams in the league…

Fortunately for them, the Wolves, the Spurs, the Warriors are not advancing at high speed and have not taken a considerable lead in the race for the play-in. We will have to react but is there a feeling of revolt in the locker room?

“We’re upset, that’s obvious. We are not satisfied with this situation. That’s good by the way. You don't see anyone smiling and being happy after four defeats in a row.”concludes Bradley Beal.
