The Thunder still dominates the Warriors in overtime!

For their fourth and final face-to-face of the season, the Thunder and the Warriors once again offered us a breathtaking scenario! A 2+1 then a winning shot from Stephen Curry put Golden State at +3 with 18 seconds left (118-115).

In the same situation two weeks ago in San Francisco, the Warriors did not make a mistake and Chet Holmgren (21 points) equalized at the buzzer. Last night, Draymond Green fouled the Thunder rookie 10 meters from the basket but the latter had just started his shooting gesture, synonymous with three free throws.

For the second time in two matches, Chet Holmgren sent the two teams into overtime (118-118). As in San Francisco, Steve Kerr's men will not recover. The duo Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – Chet Homlgren launches a 12-2 to start overtime and offer victory to Oklahoma City.

The Warriors waste way too much…

It's the third time in a week that the Warriors have squandered a comfortable away lead. After leading by 24 and 22 points in Sacramento and the Clippers, Stephen Curry's gang had a 14-point lead in the second quarter against the Thunder thanks to the skill of the Curry – Thompson – Wiggins trio (48 -34).

As is often the case, it was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who woke up his team, with 23 of his 38 points in the second and third quarters to lead a 29-13 which had put the Thunder at +7 before the last quarter ( 89-82).

A 17-6 from the Warriors, led by Jonathan Kuminga (24 points, 12 rebounds) and Dario Saric (11 points, 12 rebounds), to start this last period had given them back control of the match (99-95), but 4 balls lost allowed the Thunder and Jalen Williams (28 points) to hang on to finally win in overtime.

With this victory, the Thunder climbs to second place in the Western Conference while the Warriors remain eleventh with a negative record (10v-12d).

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

29 lost balls for Golden State. The Warriors have never lost so many balls since the arrival of Steve Kerr at the head of the franchise in 2015. The trio Draymond Green – Klay Thompson – Andrew Wiggins lost 14 of their 29 balls! The Thunder did not hesitate to take advantage, scoring 35 points on these opposing errors. Despite this waste, the Warriors managed to stay in the match thanks to their 24 offensive rebounds and 19/48 (39%) at 3-points.

Gilgeous-Alexander – Williams – Holmgren, the three-headed monster of the Thunder. The young Oklahoma City trio was excellent again this night. They already hurt the Warriors in the last game between the two teams at Chase Center, and Golden State's defense couldn't do anything to stop them tonight. If “SGA” put the Thunder on its shoulders to bring them back into the match, Williams and Holmgren were both decisive at the end of the match. Williams scored 17 of her 28 points after the break, and Holmgren scored 11 of her 21 points after the third quarter.

Chris Paul absent. While he returned from injury on Wednesday against Portland, Chris Paul once again had to give up his place last night. The veteran fell ill the day before the match.
