The Thunder part ways with TyTy Washington Jr.

A year after being drafted in the first round by the Rockets, Ty Ty Washington Jr. is already on the floor!

First transferred this summer to the Hawks to allow Houston to sign Dillon Brooks, he was then transferred to the Thunder in the exchange of Patty Mills. Finally, OKC decided not to keep him, and TyTy Washington finds himself a free agent. With certainly a check for 2.4 million dollars since his salary was guaranteed.

For his rookie season, he had especially shone in the G-League with 23 points and 6 average assists in 18 games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Lindy Waters III stacks up

On the OKC side, the skimming is not over since the team still has 19 players under contract, and it will therefore be necessary to cut another four. On the other hand, there is room for two “two-way contracts”, and The Athletic announces that the Thunder have decided to offer one to Lindy WatersIIIwho has just spent two years at the Thunder with 66 games played in two seasons.

He is used to this type of contract since he arrived in February 2022 via a “two-way contract”, then transformed into a classic contract.

Cut in June, he did not find a buyer this summer, and this winger therefore agreed to return to OKC. It’s a place he knows very well since he grew up in Norman, and he studied at Oklahoma State.
