While he hoped to be able to shine in Oklahoma City to try to finally find a place in the NBA, Usman Garubacurrently in the Spanish group which will play the World Cup, will have to look for a new team since the Thunder decided to separate from him, two days after Tyty Washington Jr. with whom he had left Houston for Atlanta then Oklahoma City in July.
The Spanish interior pays for the density of the workforce of the Thunder, which currently has 18 players under contract, not to mention two players in “two-way contract” (Keyontae Johnson and Lindy Waters III). Too bad for him, because he seemed to have something to play for in position 5, taking over from Chet Holmgren who will soon start his career.
A question now arises for Usman Garuba: should he consider Europe to revive at the start of the school year, when he is struggling, at 21, to settle in the Great American League?
