The Suns hesitate between three coaches to take over from Monty Williams

They were four, and they are now only three. Since Nick Nurse preferred to join the Sixers, the leaders of the Suns will begin their last phase of search for a coach with three names. According to Arizona Sportsthey are Doc Rivers, Frank Vogel and Kevin Young.

Despite his very average record in the playoffs for several years and this inability to be “clutch”, Doc Rivers retains a good rating in the NBA, and perhaps his relationship with Chris Paul reassures the new owner. For Frank Vogel, it’s a half surprise since his name has circulated very little since his dismissal from the Lakers.

NBA champion in 2020, he has proven that he knows how to manage superstars and lead a heavyweight to the title. Before this move to the Lakers, he had coached the Pacers for six years, then the Magic for two seasons. Like Nick Nurse, he was on the shelves for the Sixers to replace Doc Rivers.

Finally, there is Kevin Young, the right arm of Monty Williams. The daily recalls that he is the preferred choice of Devin Booker, and that he is very close to the players.
