The Spurs in ambush for De’Aaron Fox…

De'Aaron Fox Is he getting impatient? While his Kings (13 wins – 15 losses) are not taking off this season despite the arrival of DeMar DeRozan, the leader is multiplying worrying signs for Sacramento.

Having refused to extend his contract ahead of the season, he also explained several times that if he hoped to continue the adventure with the Kings, everything would depend on the competitiveness of the team. Basically, if he feels that the roster does not allow him to aim for the playoffs, or even more, he will not hesitate to pack his bags.

Besides, according to The Athletichis agent Rich Paul was in Sacramento Thursday evening to attend the game between the Kings and the Lakers, and he took the opportunity to chat with the GM, Monte McNair, and his assistant, Wes Wilcox.

Reinforcement to avoid a departure?

No transfer request but a discussion on the franchise level, in order to move up the hierarchy of the Western Conference… and thus avoid major turbulence.

Certainly, De'Aaron Fox is still under contract next year, but if Sacramento misses the playoffs again, he could well ask to leave for more competitive skies. It could even be done by the “trade deadline” if things go really bad in the coming weeks for Mike Brown's troop.

We are not there yet but many teams are logically in ambush for the All-Star, and The Athletic cites in particular the Spurs, who would like to associate him with Victor Wembanyama.

To prevent this scenario, the Kings must bounce back, either through their existing group or through a transfer. Jeremy Grant, John Collins, Jonas Valanciunas, Kyle Kuzma And Cam Johnson are listed as potential targets, while it will undoubtedly be too complicated to bring in Zach LaVine Or Brandon Ingram.
