The folder James Harden is closed for this summer: ESPN reports indeed that the Sixers put an end to discussions concerning the transfer of “The Beard”, who has wanted to leave Philadelphia for several weeks. Consequence: the Sixers intend to start next season with the bearded leader in their ranks.
Our colleagues specify that this decision by the management of the Sixers is motivated by the fact that the offers for James Harden have not been deemed sufficiently convincing. But also, and this is more surprising since the break seems final from the player’s point of view, by the fact that the club still considers the quest for a title possible, as it stands…
Either way, it’s now certain that James Harden won’t be leaving the Sixers this summer, and the Clippers track, arguably the hottest on the record, then cools sharply. However, this file seems far from being definitively closed since it is a safe bet that James Harden, unprotected free agent next summer, will surely reiterate his desire to leave soon.
