Here it is again Scoot Zeros ! The model released at the start of the season was a small event for Puma, which bet on the Portland rookie Scoot Henderson by offering him a first signature shoe. If the impact of the Blazers leader remained measured for a first season, Puma has been going strong throughout the year since this “ODD City” colorway is the ninth available in France.
The upper is in Portland's colors, mainly black, with touches of gray, white and some red, on the upper, the inside of the collar and part of the sole. The “ODD” logo is an ode to its mantra: Overly Determined to Dominate.
The Scoot Zeros “ODD City” is available on Basket4Ballers at a price of 110 euros.
Our verdict on the Scoot Zeros
Like Scoot Henderson's rookie year, the Scoot Zeros is struggling to get going. The qualities are there, however, for the player as for his first signature shoe.
The shoe is not exceptional on a technical level, typical of an entry-level model sold from 110 euros, with a “minimal” sole which nevertheless offers a fairly good compromise, and a design made to attract attention.
We recognize here a certain inspiration born from the “success story” of LaMelo Ball with the MB.03, which Puma tried to transcribe with the Blazers rookie. The result may not have been there, but this “Zero” version will undoubtedly benefit in the future, in the continuation of the collaboration between Puma and Scoot Henderson, while hoping to see the latter get closer to a destiny of “franchise-player” rather than sixth man.
