Fifteen days after the announcement of their new visual identity from the 2024/25 season, the Clippers confirm their change of skin, from floor to ceiling. Indeed, the franchise affiliated with the G-League will also have a new logo and a new home.
The two are also linked. Since the Ontario Clippers will become the San Diego Clippers, joining Oceanside and the brand new Frontwave Arena. And with this move, the franchise returns to a well-known region since they played in San Diego between 1978 and 1984, after their birth in Buffalo in the East and before their arrival in Los Angeles.
To pay homage to this period, the new logo uses the color code and shape of that of the San Diego Clippers adopted in 1979.
“We are proud to reintroduce the San Diego Clippers to this passionate sports market”, explains the president of the franchise Gillian Zucker. “Our G-League team is a vital part of our business and operations and we are excited to move into the new Frontwave Arena next season. »
