After stocking up on young talent for three years, the Rockets changed gear this summer with the arrivals of Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks and Jeff Green, three veterans recruited to return to the playoffs. They are there to supervise four young people who management has just extendedactivating their contract year for the 2024/25 season.
For Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun, this is the 4th year of contract since they were drafted in 2021. The franchise will have the possibility of offering them a contract extension next summer. For Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason, this will be their 3rd year of contract.
Three of them are starters (Green, Sengun and Smith) and they should remain so this year, supported by Fred VanVleet at the lead and Dillon Brooks on the wing. As for Eason, he was one of the good picks in the 2022 Draft, and he should retain an important place in Ime Udoka’s rotation.
