The Rockets still have an eye on Mikal Bridges. According to The Ringer's Kevin O'Connorthe Texans are ready to use their 3rd choice in the next Draft to get their hands on the Nets winger.
Except that the Nets, despite a season below the expectations of their young leader, would still not be in favor of parting with him and would prefer to build around him.
The American journalist also assures that the Houston franchise would have been approached by the Grizzlies who have the 9th choice during this Draft. A transaction between the two teams, including another player, would allow Memphis to select much higher, and therefore target a higher-rated prospect.
Houston plays for time
Except that on the Rockets side, we are playing for time, hoping that the Nets change their mind for Mikal Bridges as the Draft approaches, even if the New York club now ensures that it is banking on the development of its players.
