The Philippines are still waiting for Jordan Clarkson…

The Philippine selection intends to look good during “its” World Cup, even if it began its preparation in June. Two players remain absent from training for the moment, Kai Sotto and Jordan Clarkson.

If the first arrived on site last week and has already met the rest of the workforce during the preparation match organized on July 20 against the Ateneo Blue Eagles, the second has not yet made an appearance, which begins to question one month before the start of the competition…

Coach Chot Reyes therefore had to defuse the start of the controversy arising from the absence of Jordan Clarkson, who was also extended by 55 million dollars over three years three weeks ago by Utah.

“He will be there when he is there. Just wait for the announcement. We will make announcements at the appropriate time.” did he declare. “Of course we would like to have the players for two or three months. Unfortunately, this is not reality and we can only play with the cards given to us”.

The controversy comes as the Philippine Basketball Federation announced last year that Jordan Clarkson had agreed to join the team six weeks before the start of the World Cup.

If Jordan Clarkson were to pass, it would then be inside Justin Brownlee who would inherit the team’s only naturalized player position.
