The Pacers stop the Lakers' great series

The “road trip” of Lakers in the East continues, with of course a stop by Indianapolis, where the Pacers were waiting for them. Rightly so, since the locals were convincing and solid throughout the game, to win for the fourth time in six games (109-90).

A victory that does good for his teammates Pascal Siakam (22 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists) and Tyrese Haliburton (21 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists), who remain well placed (6th place) in this famous race for the Top 6 in the East.

In front, Anthony Davis (24 points, 15 rebounds), LeBron James (16 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists, but 5 lost balls), Austin Reaves (16 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists, but 5 lost balls) could not do much to Los Angelesin front of the collective strike force ofIndiana.

TO REMEMBER,

Los Angeles falls back into its faults. Without 3-point skill (5/30, i.e. 17%…) nor cleanliness with the ball (16 lost balls, for 16 points conceded following), the Lakers were logically punished by the Pacers who did not ask for so much to be propelled to victory, despite the returns of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. An evening without, or at least not faithful to what Darvin Ham's men had been used to showing for two weeks.

Indiana in collective control. With six players at least 10 points and an interesting defensive performance, the Pacers behaved like bosses at home, against this Lakers team which has been in good shape recently. Leading by a maximum of 21 points, and three-quarters of the time, the dynamic teammates of Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam, fans of fast play, began to seriously pull away after halftime, and they no longer had to then look in their rearview mirror. Landing, in passing, their first positive season since 2019/20.
