The Pacers ready to make an offer to Max Strus?

Like Gabe Vincent, Max Strus will remain grateful throughout his career to the Heat, the first team to give him a chance despite an undrafted player status. The shooter has flourished so well in Florida that he is now attracting the attention of other teams in the league.

And according to Marc Stein, the Pacers would be willing to offer him $48 million over three years ($16 million per year). A nice potential salary increase for the winger, an unprotected “free agent”, who barely received $ 2 million last year. And which today would aim for an amount greater than the “midlevel exception” of 12.4 million dollars.

Indiana, Detroit and Chicago on the spot

The Miami Herald reported the same interest from Indiana, but the Pistons and Bulls would also be in on it. The 27-year-old will in any case be rewarded with his career-best season at 11.5 points on average.

And his very important role in the Heat’s campaign to the NBA finals. He notably averaged 15 points in the series against the Knicks, before slowing down and concluding the overall average playoffs at skill level (9 points at 40% on shots, of which only 32% from afar).

In the same situation as him, Gabe Vincent would have a better chance of being retained by the Heat. Especially since the franchise would be ready to sacrifice Kyle Lowry.
