The Pacers hope for the return of Myles Turner

It's almost ten days since the infirmary has been full on the Indianapolis side. To make matters worse, the Pacers had to deal without Ben Sheppard And Myles Turnerrespectively injured in the oblique muscle and the calf, during their last game in Toronto. It was the last straw for Rick Carlisle's team, which fell to the bottom of the class (130-119).

Fortunately, the two players who started in the double-header against the Heat this weekend should quickly return to service. In any case, this is what Rick Carlisle hopes, who will test Myles Turner with a view to a return this evening against Alperen Sengun's Rockets, before considering that of Ben Sheppard by the end of the week.

A return to normal hoped for at the beginning of December

For the latter, who had already almost left the group because of knee tendinitis, the Pacers coach estimated that his rear had avoided the worst, the injury having been detected in time during the previous match won against the Heat.

“There is a good chance that Myles will be back this Wednesday”, did he slip before discussing the case of Ben Sheppard. “We have to hope that this is not a long-term absence. A return on Wednesday could be a possibility. If not, we hope for Friday, or Sunday. A strained oblique muscle, I don't know if it's ever happened to you, but it's painful. Whether it's playing with the kids at home, a basketball or soccer game, or whatever it is, it hurts a lot. These injuries are like a broken rib, it just hurts when you breathe, that kind of thing.”

After Myles Turner and Ben Sheppard, it is the return of the energizer Aaron Nesmith, injured in his ankle for ten days, who will be expected at the beginning of December. On the other hand, no chance of seeing Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman again, both victims of a ruptured Achilles tendon.

To compensate for this double whammy inside, pivot Moses Brown, recruited Monday, could make his debut in Houston this evening. The last game lost in Toronto in any case highlighted the Pacers' shortcomings at position 5, while Jakob Poeltl wandered around accumulating 30 points and 15 rebounds Monday evening.
