The Pacers come out in pain against the Grizzlies

Across the Atlantic, the NFL is certainly stealing the show from the NBA on this day of the conference finals, but there was indeed a match between the Pacers and the Grizzliesin the room that will host the All-Star Game in three weeks.

A meeting won by Indiana (116-110), not without suffering against this team of Memphis eye-catching but ultimately too short to see his streak of three consecutive victories continue. Three consecutive victories, this is precisely the series on which the players of Indy, solid 6th in the Eastern conference, are now surfing.

TO REMEMBER

The Indiana collective imposes. Still without Tyrese Haliburton, who is nevertheless getting closer to a return, the Pacers have relied on five players with more than 15 points: Bennedict Mathurin (24), Pascal Siakam (19), Jalen Smith (19), Aaron Nesmith (16) and Andrew Nembhard (16). This was necessary to repel the Grizzlies, led by Jaren Jackson Jr. or Vince Williams Jr, and who believed they could surprise Rick Carlisle's men in the “money-time”…

Indiana held on. Precisely, it was in the “money-time” that the Pacers folded the affair, going from 107-107 to 116-110 in three minutes, thanks to two baskets from Jalen Smith and one from Aaron Nesmith, before Andrew Nembhard does not score from the free throw line. It was too much for the Grizzlies, not rigorous enough in the end to make the difference in a match that was tight and indecisive until the final minutes. Always a good success to secure a place in the Top 6 of the East.
