The Pacers are installing a basketball court in the airport!

Since the Pacers applied to host the All-Star Game, the leaders have continued to impress. We remember that they took out a car, with Larry Bird at the wheel, to bring their file to the NBA offices! One month before the event, the franchise does it again by installing an authentic basketball court in the city's airport.

There is no question of doing a little 3-on-3, but the franchise offers travelers the opportunity to take a few shots. It's a replica of the field for the next All-Star Game, which will take place on February 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The city has been waiting for the All-Star Game for almost 40 years!

Elected best airport in the USA for… 11 years, the Indianapolis International Airport has seen eight million travelers pass through each year! For the state of Indiana, considered the cradle of American basketball, this All-Star Game is a huge event, and the city has been waiting for it since… 1985! An edition remembered for the formidable duel of the dunk contest between Dominique Wilkins and Michael Jordan.

Originally, Indianapolis was scheduled to host All-Star Weekend in 2021, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Three years later, this time it's the right time, and to make the party complete, Tyrese Haliburton is well on his way to starting for the East team.
