The Nike Book 1 is back with its “Nightmare Before Christmas” colorway that we could expect around Halloween but which finally arrives before Christmas, as its name suggests!
This new colorway actually reverses the colors of the previous “Halloween” version, going from a black background with white and orange finishes to a white upper and orange and black finishes. These notably form the “scars” on the contours of the “Swoosh” present on the upper.
In this way, the pattern is reminiscent of the “mouth” of Mr. Jack in the film “The Nightmare Before Christmas” by Tim Burton and this is also the name of the animated film in English which was been taken up for this Book 1 “Nightmare Before Christmas”.
The pair has been available since midnight on Basket4Ballersat a price of 160 euros.
Our verdict on the Nike Book 1
Nike and Devin Booker succeeded in their bet by making this “Book 1” a dual-use shoe, responding to both the codes and the classic design of a “lifestyle” shoe, while guaranteeing impeccable technical characteristics on the basketball plan.
Inspired by the Nike Air Force 1, the pair has been reworked with a Cushlon 2.0 midsole which provides the dynamism necessary for profiles like Devin Booker. We would have appreciated a little more comfort on the forefoot but the essential thing is there. The grip and support also reach the market standard.
Book 1 also has a tribute side in its DNA that will attract the general public. Devin Booker is passionate and this mixture of genres sprinkled with his personal touches offers a unique model.
