The Nets will pay tribute to Notorious BIG in Paris

Notorious BIG and the Nets, it's a love story. The rap legend, who died in March 1997, was born in Brooklyn and the franchise has often paid tribute to him, with a banner in their hall and specially designed jerseys in particular.

And it continues since the Nets announce that they will organize a symphony concert around the legendary albums (Ready to Die, Life After Death) by Biggie Smalls, in Paris, January 10, 2024 at the Théâtre du Châtelet.

The date and location were not chosen by chance since it is the day before the “Paris Game” between the Nets and the Cavaliers, January 11, 2024 at the Accor Arena. Jacque Vaughn's players will also be present for this concert, like DJ and producer Clark Kent, who worked with Notorious BIG, but also Jay-Z, another Brooklyn legend.

“The Nets are excited to offer the unique opportunity to experience a concert inspired by Brooklyn hip-hop icon, The Notorious BIG,” explains Andrew Karson, marketing director of the franchise, in a press release. “We are also excited to present a series of experiences focused on Brooklyn food, fashion, art, music and basketball – which will be highlighted throughout our week-long celebration of the Nets at Paris. »

For those interested, places are on sale from this Wednesday. To do this, you must go to the Théâtre du Châtelet website.
