The MVP of the night | Giannis Antetokounmpo took the Bulls by the horns

Always very good or almost night after evening, Giannis Antetokounmpo did not show his talent during the two matches against the Hornets with two outings at only 24 points. So he probably needed and wanted to have fun against Chicago.

As a result, the double MVP went into destruction mode and the Bulls were powerless against the movements and success of the Greek. The 2021 Finals MVP started by delivering passes in the first quarter (four), before hitting near the rim with layups and dunks, and even further, from mid-range and 3-pointers.

Result, 46 points scored with great success: 16/22 shooting, 2/3 behind the arc and 12/16 free throws. This is his first game with more than 40 points in a month (and his 48 points against the Mavericks) and his eighth of the season. Giannis Antetokounmpo adds to his performance no less than 16 rebounds and 6 assists in 37 minutes.

A decisive speech

“Everyone has to be on the same page and, these last few matches, I feel like that’s the case”, he comments against the Bucks' five straight victories.

Same speech from Patrick Beverley who praises the leadership qualities of his new teammate. “We've been on the same page lately. It's obvious “, he repeats. “When we returned from the All-Star Game, Giannis gave us an important message: we must stay focused, take each game individually, and not look to the future. I think after that conversation we went for it and settled down. Doc gave us our roles, what he wanted us to do. When you have a leader like that, a coach like that, you know your role, the game becomes a lot easier.”
