LaMelo Ball and Puma had a great time in 2024, between the antics of the Charlotte playmaker with ball in hand and the “extravagant” colors of the German brand to highlight the MB.03 then the MB.04 since the start of the season. For 2025, Puma has decided to attack hard with the return of the MB.01, LaMelo Ball's very first shoe, released in 2021.
The pair set the tone by lining up unusual colors. This new “Alien Safari” version is now one of them with an original marriage to say the least, between its “luminous neon green” upper matched with a “Safari” print between blue and purple. The whole is completed by blue and pink finishes with also a translucent outsole marked with a blue “RARE”.
As hoped, the MB.01 Alien Safari is available since today on Basket4Ballers at the price of 140 euros.
Our verdict on the MB.01
The MB.01 is rather surprising in the good sense of the word. The design is stunning and stands out from the competition at first glance. But the model is ultimately quite efficient, with real work on cushioning and comfort without neglecting an explosive aspect.
The style will appeal to some, to others not at all, and that is perhaps what LaMelo Ball wanted, with a model in his image that he now helps to bring to life by sporting a different color at each match .
