The Legion of Honor for George Eddy, Hervé Dubuisson and Paoline Ekambi

Patient readers of the Official Journal noticed this during the summer. The decree of July 3, 2024which gave the list of future owners of the Legion of Honor, announced that George Eddy had thus been greeted.

We found the legendary Canal + commentator in the list of knights of the Legion of Honor, under this mention: “Mr Eddy (George, Sherwood), sports journalist; 46 years of service. »

“Mister George” received his Legion of Honor last Wednesday, with his family but also in the company of his friend from Canal +, the journalist Bruno Poulain, with whom he commented for a long time. Notably Michael Jordan's legendary last match with the Bulls in 1998.

George Eddy is not the only personality from the world of basketball to have been honored this year. We could read two other prestigious names alongside him. Hervé Dubuissonlegend of French basketball, still the most capped player in the selection and the most prolific too (3,913 points scored in 259 matches), as well as Paoline Ekambi, 254 matches with the Blues and 2,321 points scored, also received the Legion of Honor.
