The Lakers truly miraculous in Utah!

The Lakers begin their four-game “road trip” with a success in Utah, and it’s a true miracle! LeBron James' partners won 105-104 after a very confusing end to the match, and it came down to a timeout from Will Hardy. A few days ago, Erik Spoelstra cost the Heat a victory by taking a timeout that he didn't have. This time, the Jazz coach took a timeout when Collin Sexton had just scored the winning basket.

We are at the very end of the match, and the Lakers lead 105-104 with 31 seconds remaining. LeBron James scored four baskets in a row to allow the Lakers to attack “money time” with a slight lead (101-92). But the Lakers foil, notably because the “King” sends sausage after sausage. After Walker Kessler brought the Jazz to within one point, the Lakers obviously ran the clock to take a shot at the 24-second limit.

Collin Sexton 'stolen' a winning basket

LeBron James goes for it and misses his 9th 3-point shot of the evening. On the rebound, Walker Kessler launched the counter-attack, and Collin Sexton reviewed the entire defense before scoring a lay-up almost synonymous with victory since there were two seconds left on the clock. And this is where the encounter shifts into the supernatural. As the referees blow their whistle, JJ Redick is believed to have taken a timeout to handle the final possession.

Except that it was Will Hardy, his counterpart, who ran towards the scorer's table to take a time-out before Collin Sexton's basket. The basket is canceled, and the Jazz finds itself with a timeout with two seconds to play!

It's cruel because without this timeout, the Jazz would lead by one point, and it was up to the Lakers to escape in two seconds. On the throw-in, the ball returns to Collin Sexton but the leader stammers when shooting, and three Lakers prevent him from shooting. With his arms hanging, he understood that his coach had deprived him of the heist of the evening…

WHAT TO REMEMBER

– The Lakers very diminished. The X factor of the Lakers is Gabe Vincent, author of 10 points, his best mark of the season. The former Heat fullback took advantage of injuries to show himself as a starter, and it must be said that the Californians were very diminished since they were missing Austin Reaves, D'Angelo Russell, Cam Reddish and of course Jaxson Hayes and Christian Wood.

– Anthony Davis resumes his march forward. Author of a great 3rd quarter, Anthony Davis resumed his good habits with a new outing at 30 points and more. The Jazz had no particular plan to counter it, and the interior scored without putting in a very good performance. And if he finished with zero assists, it was essentially the fault of his shooters: 7 out of 33 from afar, including 0 out of 9 for LeBron James.

– The Jazz loses too many balls. Last in the NBA in lost balls, the Jazz lost another 15 this evening, and the Lakers took the opportunity to score 20 points. In “money time”, the George-Sexton duo stupidly loses two balls, and it is costly. Cheaper than taking time out from their coach…
