The Lakers let off steam on the Blazers!

After their big loss against the Nets, the Lakers did the job last night against the Blazers, penultimate in the West. The duo Anthony Davis (14 points, 14 rebounds) – LeBron James quickly gave their team a 12-point lead, but 10 points from Malcolm Brogdon (23 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds) limited the damage (36-31 ). The Blazers' second five, however, were not up to the task of staying in the game. D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves (15 points) increase the pace, the Los Angeles defense closes the racket, and the gap logically reaches 17 units (67-50).

D'Angelo Russell's fourth winning shot put the Lakers at +22 in the third quarter (99-77), before the burst of Jerami Grant (17 points) and Anfernee Simons (19 points) gave a bit of Hope to the men of Chauncey Billups (103-87). After the rout of the last game, LeBron James makes sure to push back the Blazers once and for all. He scores seven points to start the last period and the gap goes above 20 units again. With this victory, the Lakers return to balance (22v-22d).

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

D'Angelo Russell continues his momentum. For the fourth time in the last five games, the Lakers leader reached the 20 points and 6 assists marks, finishing the game with 21 points and 7 assists. Always delicate with their skill from afar, Darvin Ham's men see Russell's awakening as a great breath of fresh air. He is at 56% shooting success in these five games, including 54% from 3-point range. Could he be motivated by transfer rumors?

“Showtime” at the Crypto.com Arena. In the turmoil after their defeat against the Nets and the harsh words of Darvin Ham, the Lakers gave no quarter against the Blazers. Their defensive intensity was exemplary from the first minutes and allowed them to capitalize in transition. The Lakers continued like this throughout the match, scoring 35 points on the counterattack compared to only 6 for the Blazers! As a symbol of this revival, D'Angelo Russell sent LeBron James alley oop with a down pass to make the fans roar.

– Duop Reath confirms its current good form. 14 points, 6 rebounds against the Wolves. 17 points, 6 rebounds against the Suns, 17 points, 7 rebounds against the Nets. And, 16 points, 3 rebounds against the Lakers last night. Chauncey Billups trusts his 27-year-old Australian rookie, and the latter proves him right. While DeAndre Ayton (6 points, 4 rebounds) came through against the imposing Lakers, Reath showed all his potential, scoring 12 of his 16 points in the first half.
