The Knicks on the lookout for Malcolm Brogdon

We know, the Knicks plan to bring back a point guard/guard capable of contributing immediately and, according to Marc Steinthey would obviously have checked the name of Malcolm Brogdonone of the players most likely to be traded by trade deadline from February 8.

Reigning Sixth Man of the Year, combo guard of 31 years would be a reinforcement of choice for new York with a view to the playoffs. He ticks, on paper, all the boxes of the ideal recruit for the “Big Apple” franchise: versatile, comfortable coming off the bench, free agent in 2025, experienced and unsuitable for timeline of his current team (Portland).

Quentin Grimes and Evan Fournier in return?

To satisfy the Blazers precisely, the Knicks will already have to agree to part with one or more rounds of the Draft, in addition to including a promising youngster in the mix. Potentially Quentin Grimes, announced on departure and who could be associated with a certain Evan Fournier, whose expiring contract is attractive for a team engaged in a reconstruction.

Note that Malcolm Brogdon would not be the only player targeted by New York, since Jordan Clarkson, Terry Rozier and Alec Burks would also appear on the shelves of New York leaders. Proof that the latter are ready to strike hard on the transfer market…
