The NBA is a business, yet another episode! The Kings had secured their pivot position, behind Domantas Sabonis, in July by adding to Alex Len a position 5 referenced with Nerlens Noel, then by offering a real contract to the Portuguese Neemias Queta.
But the “unforeseen” availability of JaVale McGee, cut by the Mavericks, then reshuffled the cards. The Kings thus managed to attract the three-time NBA champion into their nets, and that forces the franchise to review its rotation to support the Lithuanian.
It is therefore Nerlens Noel, signed on July 21 on a partially guaranteed one-year contract, who will pay the price and Adrian Wojnarowski announces that Neemias Queta (whose contract was not guaranteed either) is also paying the price.
For the two interiors, it is now a question of trying to bounce back elsewhere, even if with two big weeks before the start of the “training camp”, the squads are already well filled.
