Finally! A year and a half after the release of the Ja 1, the second signature shoe designed by Nike for Ja Morant has officially been unveiled! The equipment manufacturer had to look for a good occasion to mark the occasion, and so took advantage of the induction ceremony of the point guard into the Hall of Fame of his alma mater, sponsored by Nike, to present the Yes 2.
The shoe was at the heart of the event, present on stage alongside the ring and pennant that were presented to Ja Morant. It is difficult for the moment to get a real idea of the guiding principle taken for the composition of this long-awaited shoe. We can see a lateral TPU overlay to accompany what looks like a mesh upper and ensures optimal support. The Swoosh, which ran along the entire heel, which was the trademark of the Ja 1, would have been removed for a more classic comma. In terms of color, the Ja 2 appeared with a brown base matched with a blue and white base, the whole resting on a light blue outsole.
While we wait to learn more about the Ja 2, this first step marks the official launch of its promotional campaign. There is already talk of a possible release for the last quarter of 2024!
