The Hornets get an assistant from the Lakers

New coach of the Hornets, Charles Lee gradually builds up his staff. He started with Lamar Skeeter, taken from Jazz, and Josh Longstaff, from Chicago. We can now add Chris Jent.

In fact, the Charlotte Observer announces that the Lakers assistant will join the Charlotte bench next year.

A man of experience since he began his career as an assistant in 2003. He notably worked in Cleveland, between 2006 and 2011, and more particularly with LeBron James, being his “shooting coach”. Then he went through Sacramento and Atlanta.

It was with the Hawks that he met Darvin Ham, and the two men worked together again from 2022 in Los Angeles. Now that the Lakers have fired Darvin Ham, and have not yet found a new coach, who could arrive with his own staff, Chris Jent has decided to leave Los Angeles for Charlotte.
