The Hawks beat the Wizards, despite a record Alex Sarr

Third clash of the season between the first two choices of the last Draft, Zacharie Risacher (11 points) and Alex Sarr (20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 blocks), and first victory for Risacher: the Hawks make short work of Wizards (129-117), despite a failed start.

The pair's fault Kyle Kuzma (24 points) – Jordan Poole (22 points), which got off to a flying start to take all Washington in his wake, while Alex Sarr was also in good shape on each side, before returning to the line.

Like, ultimately, the entire capital team, because Atlanta signed a thunderous awakening in the second quarter, thanks to the hyperactivity of Dyson DanielsClint Capela or even Jalen Johnson. Enough to reverse the trend with a scathing 30-11 over the period, which put the team from… –14 to +14 from one quarter to the next (59-50).

The Wizards' offense is upside down, as much as their defense, it's Dyson Daniels and Onyeka Okongwu who punish from afar and up close, while De'Andre Hunter There are also his pecks, for his recovery from the bench. Enough to help the Hawks take off and bring the gap to +20.

Washington, short of solutions and variety in attack, therefore begins to stall for good, and the fourth quarter will see the Atlanta collective, in full swing, maintain this result (129-117). Meanwhile, Alex Sarr stands out, gains confidence and improves his stats.

An authoritarian success for the Hawks, achieved thanks to Dyson Daniels (25 points, 6 steals), the returning De'Andre Hunter (22 points) and Jalen Johnson (18 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 blocks).

WHAT TO REMEMBER

Sarr 2, Risacher 1. The Wizards' only two wins of the season came against the Hawks. But this time it will not be the case and this means that Zaccharie Risacher dominates his compatriot Alex Sarr for the first time. On the other hand, on an individual level, it was Sarr who was more visible than Risacher and on both sides of the floor. We thus appreciated the ability of the French pivot to achieve several quality defensive sequences with his long arms, without forgetting his relaxation in attack to line up 3-point baskets and near the circle, or to cause fouls. Promising and to be confirmed.

Atlanta had to wait to take off. Relegated to around ten points in the first quarter (down to -14), the Hawks then reacted without delay in the second by inflicting a… 30-11 on the Wizards who were overwhelmed in defense and uninspired in attack. Hence this seventh consecutive defeat and this wave of misses, coupled with baskets conceded from the wrist of Dyson Daniels, who definitely never ceases to impress defensively (29 interceptions for five games…) and offensively (21.8 points for four matches).

A number: 28. In other words, the shots attempted by Kyle Kuzma in 29 minutes in this game (11 successful). Not really what you would imagine from a veteran in a team of young people looking for their bearings. Especially when we see that Alex Sarr and Bilal Coulibaly have 24 between them…
