The Grizzlies without Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart for (at least) three more weeks

They already had nothing left to play, but the Grizzlies will have to continue to tinker. Memphis made a point on his infirmary Thursday, particularly on cases of Desmond Bane And Marcus Smart, two of the Tennessee franchise's long-term injured players. And both players will still spend at least three weeks in treatment.

Hit on January 12 against the Clippers, Desmond Bane is recovering “ GOOD » of his sprained ankle, assure the Grizzlies. And while their season no longer really has any stakes, they obviously do not wish for the moment to put their best scorer on the side until the end of the exercise since he will be able to “ return to play in three to five weeks. » We may have to be a little more patient for Marcus Smart, who must continue to wear a splint on his finger for three weeks before being evaluated again. There will then only be around fifteen games left on the schedule for the Grizzlies.

It is therefore not certain that we will see the two players again this season, Memphis (20 victories – 36 defeats) having in these conditions little interest in relaunching them in a freewheeling end of the campaign.

In the absence of many starters, Jaren Jackson Jr took his place, particularly in attack, while many rotation players took the opportunity to reveal themselves like Vince Williams or GG Jackson.
