The end of positions in the All-NBA Teams!

From next season, we can find Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid in the First All-NBA Team! Clearly, the new collective agreement has decided to abolish the positions at the time of the election of the All-NBA Teams, and we can therefore find five playmakers in an All-NBA Teams or five wingers…

This decision is both linked to the gradual disappearance of positions in modern basketball, but also to financial reasons. Indeed, a selection in an All-NBA Team makes it possible to obtain better contracts when extending.

Another modification: as for the individual trophies (MVP, Defensive Player Of The Year…), it will be necessary to have played at least 65 matches to be selected in an All-NBA Team. With this settlement, Stephen Curry, Ja Morant, LeBron James and Kevin Durant would not have been chosen last season.
