The Day the Boston Celtics Drafted a Paraplegic

The Celtics have had some unique stories during the Draft. And sometimes, alas, tragic, like when they selected Len Bias in 1986 in 2nd position. Announced as Michael Jordan's number 1 opponent for years to come, the Maryland winger was found dead two days later, the victim of an overdose.

Fortunately, there are also much happier Drafts, and even memorable ones like in 1982. That year, with the 225th pick, in the 10th round, the Celtics chose Landon Turner. His special feature? He is paraplegic!

A story as little known as it is incredible, which we tell you today in Histoire(s) de basket.
