The Clippers interested in Kyle Lowry and… Chris Paul?

The arms race is only just beginning in the NBA, and more particularly in the West where Clippers will have to manage some thorny issues (Paul George and James Harden, but also Russell Westbrook). Precisely, as the Harden/Westbrook pair could decide to fly to a new destination, the Californian franchise is already preparing its backup options.

So, Mark Stein reports that Chris Paul And Kyle Lowrytwo experienced playmakers, respectively 39 and 38 years old, are among the avenues considered by Los Angeles to strengthen himself at position 1. If Lowry is free agent this summer, Paul is not on the other hand and he must receive 30 million dollars in 2024/25… but the Warriors have until June 28 to fully guarantee his last year of contract (they can also part with him by transferring it or cutting it altogether).

Former Clippers player, Chris Paul (9.2 points, 6.8 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 1.2 interceptions), also targeted by the Spurs and the Lakers, would in any case welcome a return to LA, since his family is always found there. As for Kyle Lowry (8.1 points, 4.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds), he would have the opportunity to reunite with Kawhi Leonard in California, with whom he won his only title in 2019. Still, the options leading to Paul and Lowry will probably depend on the decisions of James Harden and Russell Westbrook…
