Even though it is only a preseason game, the Clippers inaugurated their new venue last night, the Intuit Dome, located in Inglewood. Open since August, the hall had already hosted concerts, but the arrival of the Mavericks allowed the franchise to carry out a dress rehearsal before the first official match, scheduled for October 23 against the Suns.
“It’s a great feeling to have a place to call home, and the players are very excited”, testifies Tyronn Luethe Clippers coach. “Our entire organization is delighted. Tonight, our fans have the chance to be a part of it. We are lucky to have our own place that we call “home”. You can leave your shoes in the locker room and come back tomorrow, they will still be there. We have our own “home”, our own room and everything is secure. »
Klay Thompson angry with circles
Same enthusiasm from Jason Kidd, his Mavericks counterpart. “It’s magnificent!” We trained here on Sunday and we did the shootaround this morning, and they did an incredible job. I think Clippers fans will enjoy it. When you think about user experience, it's second to none. It's motivating to be the first opponent to experience this. »
Also motivating for the Clippers, like Ivica Zubac, author of a “double-double” in the victory against the Mavericks. “It was great. The room is incredible. Everything that comes with it is awesome. The fans were noisy. I can’t wait for the season to start”confided the Croatian.
We imagine that Klay Thompson was much less happy. The “Splash Brother” had a nasty hole: 0 out of 9 on shots!
