Evan Mobley will start its third season in the Big League with Peace of Mind. The Cavs have just activated the option of his fourth year of contract, for the 2024/25 season. Interior Ohio will receive $11.2 million that year, after the upcoming season’s $8.9 million.
After the last two years of his rookie contract, the 22-year-old should be offered a nice jackpot. Even if he experienced timid statistical progress last year, compared to his first year, the San Diego native is expected to be one of the cornerstones of the Cavs’ game, for today and tomorrow.
This season, the 3rd choice of the 2021 Draft could naturally get closer to the double-double average, at 20 points and 10 rebounds, and why not claim a first All-Star selection.
In two preseason games, he averaged 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in just under 20 minutes.
