The Bulls provide news on Lonzo Ball

Lonzo Ball's last match dates back to January 14, 2022. We are therefore slowly approaching two years away from the courts for the Bulls playmaker. We know that he underwent three operations on his left knee in 14 months. With one last, unprecedented in the NBA, last March: a cartilage transplant.

Which explains his package for this 2023/24 season. But where is it on the physical level? “The pain that explained his relapses has been eliminated”explains Billy Donovan for ESPN.

Thus, Lonzo Ball could reach an important milestone next month. “We hope he can start running in January, that’s the most important thing”announces his coach.

An intact state of mind

Until now, the former Lakers player could only take a few shots and do mobility and strength training exercises.

“He managed the different stages proposed very well,” continues Billy Donovan. “I give him a lot of credit. His state of mind hasn't changed at all. It's truly remarkable. I know he wants to play since he has been away from the field for two years. I appreciate his attitude and his optimism because, when you experience what he went through, it's very easy to sit in a corner and start doubting, asking questions. »
