The Bulls hope to go for the play-in

Although we do not yet know which team will play at home, we do know that the Bulls and the Hawks will meet on April 17 for the play-in. So there's still a big week left to prepare. For Chicago, it's about finding benchmarks to try to launch as best as possible into the most important match of the season.

“We are at a stage where we cannot afford not to play hard in these last matches. We must have this mentality. You can't just press the button. It's conquer or die.”, notes DeMar DeRozan.

That's the problem. The Bulls (like the Hawks) are the ultimate average team. They do not have the collective references to allow themselves to relax for a few days and then have the assurance of being at their best level in eight days. They haven't done it all season and even more recently, where they have followed a victory with a defeat and vice versa for three weeks…

Avoid shooting yourself in the foot

“I'm not going to say it's greater attention to detail. It’s simply more regularity, in terms of concentration”specifies Billy Donovan on what he expects from his players. “And I'm not going to use the word consistency yet, but we have to avoid beating ourselves up. This was the case against Orlando. »

While a few days earlier, the Bulls had beaten the Knicks and the Wolves. Clearly, on a good day, Chicago can beat almost everyone; in a bad one, defeat is possible against anyone… And on April 17, what face will they have?

“The pressure and the challenges will be very different,” announces DeMar DeRozan. “The reality is that we don’t want to be on the other side of the fence. We can't have these meetings where we're Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde. We must find consistency in these last matches. »
