The Bucks very cautious with Giannis Antetokounmpo

Winners against the Clippers last night, the Bucks produced an almost heroic performance in the absence of two major players, Khris Middletoninjured in the ankle for a month, and above all Giannis Antetokounmpo !

Milwaukee announced that the “Greek Freak” was suffering from tendinitis in the left Achilles tendon, and for the moment, the duration of his unavailability is not yet clearly established. “There have been ups and downs over the last two or three matches”, said Doc Rivers on the sidelines of the meeting. “This morning he seemed fine…”.

Effectively, Giannis Antetokounmpo was indeed present in the warm-up, taking a few shots while observing long breaks. Then finally, he stopped his warm-up and returned to the locker room. According to Journal Sentinelhe felt pain, and we then saw him again on the bench, in civilian clothes.

No time to rush

While his eligibility for possible distinctions at the end of the season is not threatened since this is only his third missed match, the medical staff should not rush his return, just like for Khris Middleton. So, it is not certain that Giannis will participate in the next four-game road trip to the West. Same uncertainty for Middleton.

“He’s just not ready.” He's close… but again, if he's not 100% for us, we don't want to push him just yet. It's not necessary “he added.

Milwaukee in any case showed last night that the group had enough depth to remain competitive and achieve a sixth consecutive victory. But the upcoming schedule is particularly tough.

After Golden State tomorrow, then a “back-to-back” in LA against the Lakers then the Clippers, and a final trip to Sacramento, the Bucks will indeed continue with Philadelphia and Phoenix at home before another trip to Boston.
