Invited in early September by the Blazers to their training camp, Olivier Sarr transformed the test since he won the first “two-way contract” of the franchise, and this is what will allow him to play up to 50 games in the NBA. A consolation prize for the Frenchman who had failed to land a guaranteed contract, but it was with this type of contract that he made a name for himself in the NBA.
Last season, after signing two ten-day contracts in December and then in January at the Thunder, Olivier Sarr was extended with a “two-way contract”. This allowed him to stand out, turning to 14.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.4 against average in 30 minutes of play over a period of five games.
It remains to be seen where the Frenchman will play during his stints in the G-League, since the Blazers still do not have an affiliated franchise in the development league. It also remains to be seen when he will play since he joined the infirmary with a wrist injury.
The Portland Trail Blazers are converting center Olivier Sarr to a two-way contract, source tells ESPN. Sarr played 22 games for OKC as a rookie after college stops at Wake Forest and Kentucky.
